Ok starting this thread so people can post skill combinations they like to use in different situations. Anything like shot rotations, croud control techs, and pet control that could help guildies play thier hunters better.

Ok this combo I use mostly in instances were we have a tank (even a poor one) as it helps to keep several enemies in one area. It works best with Suvivor or Beast Master hunters as they can take hits better than the average marksman. The basic combo works like this.

Worrior/Pali agros and groups the enemys
You aproach the group and drop a Frost trap (this will keep them from moving to far if the tank dosnt hold the agro well)
You back up a bit to use Volley (this will agro a few on you but the frost trap should buy you the time you need to finish it)
You use Multi shot, Aspect of the Monkey and aproach the tank (since you have some agro now you want to keep them grouped in the trap)
Next as your Hp gets to half Fien Death (by this point several enemys should be dead thanks to dps and aoe support from your team)

Yes i know you dont want to be in melee range as it really reduces your dps and puts you in danger. However you need to think of the rest of the team here not just yourself, if you have agro and there is a frost trap on the ground then draw the enemies threw it. Keeping them in that small area will give mages and locks time to blast them down with aoe and give rouges the ability to easily get behind them. Even if your not the one doing all the damage the enemys will die eficiantly and put less people in danger.

For level 50 survival hunters the combo is a little more complex and a lot of fun Very Happy

Worrior/Pali agros and group the enemys
You aproach and drop a Frost Trap
You back up and use Volley
You use Multi shot then Aspect of the Monkey
Wyvren Sting a caster thats outside the trap range
Aproach the group and use Deterance, Readyness, Explosive trap (in that order)
Readyness recharged deterance so when it wears off use it again.
When your hp gets to near half fiendeath and bandage up. (make sure the explosion trap isnt still ticking or you'll just pull the agro again)
With the Resouresfulness talent you may even get off a third trap befor its all over

This combination will help to keep a good number of enemies in one area wile doing decent aoe. Coupled with a ice mage, rouge, worrior/pali, and a priest the croud control and nuking will likely be so strong that you'll walk threw most places without even a second thought. Only down side to doing this regularly is that its mana intencive so bring plenty of water or have a mage conjure you some.
